CANDAI ("we", "us", "our") builds AI systems for UK & European trades businesses. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website and our services.

When you use our contact form, we collect:
- Name — so we know what to call you
- Email address — so we can reply
- Company name — to understand your business
- Phone / WhatsApp number — only if you provide it
- Trade category — to route your enquiry
- Message content — your description of the challenge
We also automatically collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, visit duration) for security and analytics.

- Book and deliver discovery calls
- Deliver Partner Programme services you sign up for
- Send service-related communications (not marketing, unless you opt in)
- Improve our website and services
4. Legal basis (UK GDPR)
- Contract — to deliver services you request
- Legitimate interest — to respond to enquiries and improve our services

5. Who we share data with
We use the following data processors (all GDPR-compliant, UK or EU-based where possible):
- Formspree — form submission processing (their policy)
- Caddy / hosting provider — server logs, static file serving
- Google Fonts — webfont delivery (no tracking by us)
We never sell your data. We never share it with advertisers.
6. How long we keep your data
- Contact form submissions: 24 months from last interaction, or until you request deletion
- Service delivery records: 7 years (legal/tax obligation)
- Server logs: 30 days

- Restrict processing — limit how we use it
- Object — to processing based on legitimate interest
- Portability — receive data in a portable format

8. Cookies
This site uses no tracking cookies, no analytics cookies, and no third-party marketing cookies. Google Fonts may set a functional cookie for font delivery. If we add analytics in the future, we will ask for your consent first.
